PRODUCER, CO-DIRECTOR, EDITOR, DRONE PILOT
David Gossard is a recently retired Professor of Mechanical Engineering indulging a long-standing fascination with film-making. This is his first full-length feature documentary. He had no idea.
EDITING ASSISTANT, CAMERA OPERATOR
Jane Gossard found filming a live sporting event, in her words, ".. a very intense experience". Shooting the race's start from the rooftop of a museum in downtown Manitou Springs was truly exhilarating. She is a ruthless advisor in the editing suite.
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT, CAMERA OPERATOR
JeanMarie Gossard is a world traveler with a take-no-prisoners attitude. Blowing into town the day before the race, she grabbed a camera, mapped out camera positions, negotiated with race officals, mediated disputes among the crew and more without breaking a sweat. A good hand to have.
ALAN "BUCK" GOSSARD
Alan Gossard is, in his words, "an aging farmboy". In a spectacular display of bad judgement, he not only undertook to run up Pikes Peak twice in as many days, but also agreed to allow a film to be made of it.
CINDY & SCOTT GALLEY
TRAINING, LOGISTICAL SUPPORT,
Scott and Cindy Galley assisted with Buck's training at altitude, housed, transported and fed the crew, and operated cameras on the summit. Heavy lifting.
